Automation QA Engineer

Description

We are seeking an Automation QA Engineer with deep expertise in mobile testing and proven experience with the Roboto framework in Python. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our automated mobile test suite, playing a critical role in our continuous integration and delivery pipeline. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability, performance, and user-friendliness of our mobile betting applications, ensuring a seamless and fair experience for our global user base. Given the nature of the industry, a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and data integrity is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts for complex mobile betting applications using the Roboto framework and Python.
• Execute automated test suites and meticulously analyse test results, identifying and reporting defects with clear, concise, and detailed documentation.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and compliance teams to understand requirements, define comprehensive test strategies, and ensure exhaustive test coverage, particularly focusing on edge cases, transaction integrity, and regulatory adherence.
• Utilise Android Studio and Xcode to effectively debug, troubleshoot, and analyse mobile application issues, especially those related to real-time data, payments, and user authentication.
• Manage test cases and track defects meticulously within our chosen project management tools, providing clear visibility into quality metrics.
• Leverage GitHub for version control of test automation code and foster seamless collaboration within the engineering team.
• Be involved in the manual testing process of the features developed
• Participate actively in the scrum ceremonies
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile testing trends, tools, and best practices, specifically those relevant to high-transaction and real-time mobile applications in the betting sector.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on mobile application testing, preferably within a high-transaction or regulated industry.
• Proven expertise in automation testing for mobile applications using the Roboto framework with Python is essential.
• Solid understanding of the mobile application development lifecycle and comprehensive testing methodologies.
• Experience with Flutter framework and Dart language from a testing perspective, demonstrating an understanding of the architecture and common issues inherent to these technologies.
• Familiarity with Android Studio and Xcode for mobile application debugging and in-depth analysis.
• Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation tests for continuous deployment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team, including developers, product managers, and compliance officers.
• Experience with performance, security, or load testing for high-traffic mobile applications would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Cypress with Javascript would be considered an asset.
• Understanding of the unique challenges and compliance requirements within the online betting or gaming industry would be considered an asset.
• Experience working within the iGaming industry would be considered an asset.
