Junior QA Engineer

The role

 Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, you will be working within our Engineering team in Digbeth, Birmingham to ensure that all of our websites, external and internal web applications and mobile applications are optimised to the highest standards.

We are open to accepting applications from entry-level candidates or new graduates who have an IT or related degree or may have a relevant qualification in software testing, with a progression plan to allow candidates to transition to other areas of the Engineering team in time.

What you'll be doing

• The formulation and execution of test cases 
• To complete test plans and regress resolved issues 
• Utilising defect tracking software to maintain an organised bug database 
• Manual device testing 
• Performance Testing 
• Working with UI/UX Designers to improve overall experience 

What we're looking for in you

• Experience in a QA role
• An understanding of testing methodologies, test plan organisation and technical requirements
• Strong communication skills
• A good eye for detail
• Experience with Trello – Desirable
• Background in computer science – Desirable
• ISTQB / ISEB Qualification – Desirable
• SQL Knowledge - Desirable
