About the job
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Automated Software QA Engineer / Lead to join our dynamic team in Yerevan, Armenia. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong command of English, and the ability to work both in the office and remotely. This role requires evening availability to ensure significant time overlap with Pacific Time to collaborate effectively with US-based employees.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience as an Automated QA Engineer and Team Lead.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in coding and scripting languages with hands-on experience in writing advanced automation scripts for complex apps.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor QA teams, with strong leadership qualities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working evenings to overlap with Pacific Time and collaborating effectively with remote teams.
- Location: Must be based in Yerevan, Armenia.
Responsibilities
- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain advanced test scripts to automate testing of complex applications.
- Test Case Writing: Analyze business requirements and independently write comprehensive and effective test cases.
- Leadership: Lead and coach manual testers, ensuring best practices in QA processes are followed and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Quality Assurance: Identify, document, and troubleshoot software defects, ensuring high-quality software delivery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and US-based teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and project timelines.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other similar automation testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
- Experience working with global teams and navigating timezone challenges.
