Position Overview :

ShyftLabs is seeking a talented QA automation engineer to design testing procedures for our complex software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. To ensure success as a QA engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills.

Responsibilities :

Develop and execute test plans for APIs, focusing on functional, load, and stress testing.

Collaborate with developers and the Solution Architect to understand system architecture and identify test requirements.

Document test cases, outcomes, and anomalies clearly and concisely.

Automate repetitive test cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process.

Use various tools to carry out debugging and performance analysis.

Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks during the development cycle.

Work closely with the QA Lead to prioritize testing activities and focus areas.

Participate in Agile ceremonies like Daily Stand-ups and Sprint Planning.

Provide timely and accurate status updates to the team and stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in an API-focused


Proficiency in AWS services such as CloudWatch, Lambda, SQS, and Kinesis Streams.

Strong understanding of load and stress testing methodologies.

Experience with testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, or similar.

Good scripting skills, preferably in Python.

Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
