We are looking for a skilled and passionate Quality Assurance Engineer or an experienced software engineer wishing to take the next step to join Platform Software Engineering to build and scale effective software solutions for our Analytics and Data Domain.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• A passionate about delivering secure and reliable software to customers • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks knowledge of backend and database testing/automation • 3+ years proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Engineer or similar • A technical background in application engineering, infrastructure, or integration • Professional experience with programming languages such as: Python, Scala, Java, Ruby, JavaScript • Working experience of applying modern Agile Software Development practices • Experience with test and defect management tools • Experience with code versioning tools and CI/CD (software, processes and tools) • Strong interpersonal skills including creative thinking, attention to detail, collaboration, partnership and a drive to learn and succeed

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WE’LL VALUE:

• Good knowledge of AWS, especially serverless technologies including Lambda and Glue, CloudFormation or Terraform, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Step Functions • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering • Knowledge of Spark and Big Data • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, ServiceNow and the Atlassian Suite

HOW CAN YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US?

• You will learn from an AWS architects, a DevOps Engineer and a Python developer work in a small SCRUM team • Spend 20% of your time in the Platform Software Engineering QA Chapter. You will work with peers who will mentor you and together you will be leading PMI in Quality Engineering tools and standard processes • Under the direction of the QA chapter, you will lead quality engineering practices in the team and guide them in the adoption of testing technologies • You will be working on the PMI enterprise data platform using AWS serverless technologies • Work with the product owner to design comprehensive test plans and test cases and write and sign off acceptance criteria • You will take care of plans to thoroughly test all software releases • You will have the opportunity to influence and guide hundreds of data engineers to adopt quality engineering practices • You will work in Agile • Lead Quality Engineering practices in platform and application support
