We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer with a strong background in mobile application testing, particularly iOS platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our applications through both manual and automated testing practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Appium, SQL, and test management tools like Jira, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will be part of a dynamic QA team, working closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver a flawless user experience across our mobile applications. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of the product and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for iOS mobile applications using Appium.
• Perform thorough manual and automated testing of iOS apps to ensure optimal functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, and work closely with the development team for prompt resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the entire software development lifecycle to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and back-end testing.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, providing feedback on requirements, potential risks, and testability.
• Contribute to test plan creation, test case documentation, and overall QA process improvements.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases and contribute to regression testing as part of the release cycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in QA engineering with a focus on mobile applications.
• Proven hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.
• Strong experience in testing iOS applications on both real devices and simulators.
• Proficient in using Jira for defect tracking, test case management, and sprint planning.
• Good understanding of SQL and experience with writing complex queries for backend validation and data testing.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to other test automation tools/frameworks like Selenium, XCUITest, or Espresso.
• Familiarity with REST API testing and tools like Postman.
