Description

We’re looking for a QA Lead to join our award winning team conveniently located in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. 

As a QA Lead at Double Eleven, you will be responsible for overseeing our internal QA team of cross-disciplinary testers. Your main goal will be to ensure the highest quality standards for our games. You will work closely with the development and production teams to create a testing strategy for a dedicated project.

As a global gaming company, we've enabled millions to conquer Minecraft Dungeons, battle in Rust Console Edition and create new adventures in Fallout 76. Recently, we collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.

What you’ll be doing

  • Define the testing processes to ensure fast and accurate qualitative and functional testing.

  • Provide personal support, mentoring, and professional development for QA testers

  • Assist with the recruitment of additional QA testers

  • Review the capacity of the team relating to the scope of the project

  • Stay up-to-date with planned changes and updates from the Development team

  • Develop and maintain test workflows for the assigned area(s) with a focus on the efficiency of the project and the quality of the game

  • Develop, optimise, and complete smoke tests for the assigned area(s) or specific builds to ensure they are usable as the project requires

  • Propose, develop, optimise, and execute test cases for the assigned area(s) with a focus on the efficiency and quality of the project

  • Create and maintain relevant documentation to aid with development and testing

  • Autonomously determine the prioritisation of assigned work based on the project’s needs, and clarify requirements with relevant team members where needed

  • Generate and present testing strategies in advance of upcoming work for the assigned area(s), and participate in the enactment of those strategies

  • Raise project issues and risks that you observe to the relevant parties and participate in the mitigation of those risks with a view to avoiding recurring issues

  • Establish and maintain good communication and productive collaboration with all team members on the project

  • Support the Development, Production, and Publishing teams with specific requests

  • Be an advocate for working best practices, maintaining high standards, and setting an example for the rest of the QA team.

What we’re looking for

  • 1-2 years of experience in line management and as a team leader.  
  • Experience in the full game development cycle for one or more titles as an Associate Lead or Lead Position.  
  • Proficient in bug base management using tools like JIRA and ADO.
  • Expertise in consoles including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 360 tools and Google tools.  
  • Proficient in test management tools such as JIRA XRAY, ADO, and TestRail.  
  • Knowledgeable about Agile and Scrum methodologies.  
  • Passionate about gaming and committed to maintaining quality standards.
  • Experience with game certification processes (e.g., TRC, XRs, LotCheck) for major gaming platforms.

Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in software quality assurance/testing (e.g., ISTQB, CT_GaMe) would be a plus
