Rovio Stockholm studio is developing one the biggest games in Rovio’s portfolio Angry Birds 2 as well as working on some new exciting projects. We are a fun and collaborative studio in the centre of Stockholm and as our games are steadily growing the fanbase, we are looking to add QA Manager to the QA team. You will have a chance to contribute to creating well performing mobile games for millions of daily users.

We are working in a hybrid mode with 2 days a week in the office in our studio in the centre of Stockholm and will support relocation to Sweden if you are not already here.

You will have impact and fun at work by doing:

  • Be responsible for the technical quality of Angry Birds 2 game
  • Take care of the development and supervision of the QA analytics in the game
  • Mentor all QA team members
  • Be a key part in helping the game achieve quality targets
  • Inspire others to do their best and works actively to achieve organisational goals
  • Ensure guidelines and processes are followed. Keep improving processes, tools and teamwork
  • Coordinate of the external QA work on the game level

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • Proven QA leadership experience in a supervisor role and in QA leadership role
  • QA experience leading to mastery of relevant disciplines
  • Proven commercial game QA background in live F2P titles
  • Proficient with defect management tools, test management tools, crash/error logs, and reporting tools, test automation tools for mobile platforms, configuration, and content management tools (AB testing, etc) and mobile store portals
  • Experience with version control, CI and game development tools
  • Good understanding of mobile platforms and hardware, the configuration of data structures and formats (JSON, etc)
  • Excellent communication with internal and external teams
  • Good understanding of Data Analytics and making decisions by looking at Data
  • Ability to think strategically

Interview process:

  • First meeting: you will have a quick call with our TA partner to understand what motivates you and what you are looking for as the next step
  • Second meeting: You will meet the hiring manager. We will be diving deeper into your skills and will also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role.
  • Skills deep dive: You will meet QA team for a technical interview.
  • Final round: you will have a conversation with the Leadership team in the Studio and a separate call with our HRBP to dive deeper into how you manage and drive processes and how you could add to the studio Leadership team.
