Summary
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our team in Athens. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of our digital products, building scalable and reliable test automation solutions using Playwright and related tools. The ideal candidate will have solid coding skills, experience with modern automation frameworks, and a passion for driving quality throughout the development lifecycle.
· Design, implement and maintain test automation scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
· Work closely with developers and product managers to define automated test strategies and plans.
· Build automation coverage across web, mobile and APIs, validating both frontend and backend layers.
· Ensure integration of automated tests in the CI/CD pipeline for faster, safer releases.
· Investigate test failures, analyze root causes, and document defects clearly.
· Stay up to date with the latest trends in software testing and introduce best practices.
· Contribute test documentation and share knowledge with the wider QA team.
Requirements
· 1-3 years Proven experience as an Automation QA Engineer / SDET in a product-driven environment
· Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Selenium).
· Hands-on experience with Javascript/Typescript (preferable) coding or any other programming language (Java, C# etc).
· Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, with tools like Postman or Swagger.
· Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
· Knowledge of JIRA, Git, and CI tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
· Performance testing experience (e.g. with JMeter, k6) is a plus.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.ership.
