We’re looking for an outstanding Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Poeldijk, Netherlands.
As a QA Specialist, you’ll take on a central role within the Quality Assurance team. You’ll work hands-on with various aspects of our quality system, from internal audits to supplier management, and from complaints analysis to lab testing. You'll not only help maintain food safety and compliance but actively contribute to improving processes and preventing recurring issues. This role is perfect for someone who wants to deepen their QA expertise and grow within a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead internal audits based on our annual audit schedule
- Manage the supplier approval and monitoring process, including documentation and follow-up
- Coordinate laboratory testing and ensure timely follow-up on results and any deviations
- Analyze complaints, investigate root causes, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence
- Plan and conduct traceability and recall tests
- Input and maintain KPI data for performance monitoring
- Perform inspection rounds, hygiene checks, and follow up on pest control monitoring
Requirements
Experience we look for:
Essential
- Degree in food technology, quality management, agriculture, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in quality assurance, ideally in fresh produce, fruit & vegetables, or food production/logistics.
- Solid knowledge of food law, traceability, labelling requirements, and relevant standards (IFS, HACCP, Organic).
- Confident use of digital documentation and QA systems.
- Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (C1 level or above).
