We are currently seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. This role involves the critical task of enhancing software quality through robust testing and automation strategies within a fast-paced software development environment.

Job Overview

The SDET Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions, ensuring that our applications meet high standards of quality and performance. You will collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, including development, product management, and operations, to create an effective verification process for our software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for software applications
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution in a collaborative manner
  • Participate in design and code reviews, providing feedback focused on quality digital products
  • Design and implement testing strategies based on requirements and specifications
  • Develop performance, load, and stress tests to ensure application scalability
  • Engage with development teams to integrate testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Mentor junior QA engineers on best practices and automation techniques
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in testing tools and methodologies

About You

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented SDET Engineer who is capable of bringing a quality mindset to the development process. Your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively will be essential as you balance the demands of technical excellence and the practicalities of software delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing with a focus on automation
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools and automation tools like Postman or REST-assured
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI
  • Knowledge of database testing and proficiency in SQL
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach
